LG Fashion Week is just around the corner!!!  LOVAS is set to hit the runway with Sisters on the 30th and I can’t wait to get some runway shots.  These images were shot on location at Studio Cycle Group where I had the opportunity for more creative shots during the shoot and with such a great team, I will even say they look wicked.  After finishing up the post and getting the books printed, I noticed that lots of folks have used an app for their mobiles to get a similar look…maybe if I waited, I could have saved me some time! With colours inspired by the periodic table of the elements, Elemental was a pleasure to shoot (a great team makes it so!) and the simple layout really allowed for the narrative to come through.  Information about each look was added in post above or below each look with thin lines capped in arrowheads, reinforcing the scientific origins of the collection. Check out the cover shot I posted oh…just a little while back…

Hmmm….so, like, yeah… LOVAS AW 2011 show is about to step into the world…so why-o-why haven’t I put these shots up from last season’s Elemental collection?  With  Nine West shoes and Rita Tesolin jewellery, everything looked wicked on the catwalk. I can’t wait ’till Sisters hits the runway in a few days!

LOVAS on the runway at Montréal fashion week late September 2010…yup…awesome. Nine West shoes and Rita Tesolin‘s original jewellery creations completed the spring/summer looks.  A gem of a city, super-great fashion week staff…everything was just…superbe! A couple of days there reminded me to brush up on my French, yet I surprised myself with what came back!  For all you foodies out there…dessert heaven at Juliette & Chocolat, all you can eat sushi at Sushi Crescent on Crescent St., Montréal style pub fare at Taverne Dominion, and the best tapas I’ve had outside of Barcelona at Santos.  Get ready Toronto! Oct19th!

Creative director of LOVAS and my favourite sibling Wesley asked me to join him for a free concert series sponsored by Lexus and their new hybrid, the CT 200h.  I can appreciate a good looking car when I see one, and this is definitely a hot looking machine.  I can be critical of toys in cars however when a tech specialist on hand mentioned the trackball for using the on board screen…WIN.  A mouse in a car is a good thing. Final note…hatchbacks are awesome.  The off to The Boiler House in the District, chilled out, got to meet menswear designer Philip Sparks, chowed on some foody in bite sized portions, chatted with Michelle Reagan, and got to hang with my bro.

The Stills were on that night, headlining the weekend concert series which included Lily Frost, The Paper Lions and The Midway State.  Hard to explain how great they sounded, so look at some pics I got to snap from the front row…they were awesome in case you weren’t sure.Lexus CT 200h The Boiler House in the Distillery District The Stills take the stage The Stills Toronto crowd taking in the concert Love that white guitar The Stills Lead singer giving it soul Canada!
